A Little Bit About City Canyon Records
Trebor Lloyd is the founder and CEO of City Canyons LLC Publishing and City Canyons Records based in downtown Manhattan, a stones throw away from Ground Zero. The publishing company and label features songwriting and artistic talent from both the U.S. and the U.K and features genres ranging from rock to roots rock to alternative pop to alternative country to dark world and folk music.
A former copyright and trademark lawyer, Lloyd fought the law and the law lost with Lloyd opting to leave his more lucrative profession for the far riskier and and exhilarating work of finding, developing and and often producing new talent. His love for independent music knows no bounds.
On tap at City Canyons is a hot and wildly acclaimed recent release, Stentorian, by UK group ANEMO and upcoming single releases from David Steele, The Alrights, Jacki B, The Velmas and a new indie super-group The Jayne Canyons Band. Also coming up is an exciting new collaboration between Sara Wendt and Peter Ulrich, former percussionist of the legendary Dead Can Dance.
